Finally found the time to post this up haha. I have chosen 40 pictures for this as there were more that I took but to place them all in one post would be just too many.
Anyways, my X’mas 2009 morning & afternoon was spent with my Aunts, Uncle and Cousins at the Jurong Bird Park. Why the Bird Park? Well, because they had this Hollywood Dinos Exibition thing going on there. Now why in the Bird Park?….don’t ask me haha.

Therizinosaurus (Scythe Lizard)

Ampelosaurus (Vine Lizard)

Tyrannosaurus (Tyrant Lizard)

Suchomimus (Crocodile Mimic)

Ceratosaurus (Horned Lizard)

Deinonychus (Terrible Claw)

Quetzalcoatlus (From ‘Quetzalcoatl’, the Aztac feathered serpent god)

Styracosaurus (Spiked Lizard)

Carnotaurus (Meat-Eating Bull)

Introducing the Enclosed Dinosaur….no idea why they needed to fence it…
And yes, my Knowledge of Dinosaurs is rather amazing isn’t it? lol
Lunch-Time

Chicken Sausage Pasta

Yummy Burger at Bongo Burgers. Then we were recharged and off to the Bird side of the Bird Park.

Cassowary

The Super Egg

Water Playground

And the Afternoon ended when it started to rain -> End

Today’s Schedule – Meet Eugene at Ochard MRT Station at around 2:30PM.
Followed by 2012 at 3:45PM.
Some Christmas Decorations along Orchard Road and right outside Ngee Ann City there was a huge Lous Vuitton displayed telling people that an expansion is coming soon haha.

Hitachi-san a.k.a Santa.
MMMmmm..

A yummy tree lol
Since it was lunch time…or around 2:30PM (my breakfast time) it was time to grab a bite. So it was off to Takashimaya Food Court and the dish of the day?

Nasi Padang!

We planned to watch 2012 at Cathay Cineleisure at 3:45PM but by the time we got there the only colour we saw next to 2012 was RED = Sold Out lol. I was a little surprise to see it as sold out as the show has been out for quite awhile already – hasn’t it? oO
313@Somerset
Anyways, since we had time to spare we both headed off to the Newly Opened Mall – 313@Somerset ! As we entered the mall we could still smell the fresh smell of paint. mmmmm.

Big UNI QLO store inside.

Nice Christmas Tree at the Top Floor.

Very Eco-Friendly Recycling Bins located around the mall.

The Entire Lvl 5 was a Food Court – Food Republic. Very Nice & Spacious

Now from this picture and the above one, what exactly do you see that makes this mall in a way, different from others?
Well, if you aren’t observent enough – its the carpet! lol
If I’m not wrong, it was Levels 2, 3, and 4 that were carpetted – See?

Ta-da!

Marché Restaurant

And a Thai restaurant – Flying Chillies
Ochard Central (OC)
Then after we were done checking out 313@Somerset we headed just next door to the Orchard Central (OC).

Eugene heading up to the 11th Floor Garden.

Orchard Road.
Finally reaching the 11th Floor after the long escalator ride. There was a display of Art titled – Let’s Go to Paradise of Glorious Tulips, 2009 – in the Garden by Yayoi Kusama.

Here is another one of my part-time model with the Tulips as well as the buildings & cranes as the backdrop, Smile!

The Youth Park near to the Somerset MRT Station.

They were dancing/turning in the direction of the wind

Another view of the buildings that surround Orchard Road. But this time the picture was taken on the 12th Floor lol.
Then it was time to head back down to the shops and while walking around a X’mas Tree was spotted! haha.

Small but very decorated

Indoor Rock Climbing.

The Main Christmas Tree in Orchard Central….Very Tall…

Photographer Eugene all the way from Malaysia demostrating how it must be done in order to capture the entire tree in a shot. Apperently, mine wasn’t good enough – Yup my tree was cut

Another set of escalators from the outside of the building to the inside.

So it was time for Eugene to head back home for dinner (it was about 5:40PM already) and we headed to the Bus Stop outside Plaza Singapura. Along the way there were Christmas decorations

It was this junction that we needed to cross to get to Plaza Singapura.

While waiting for the Traffic light to turn green for us to cross….*snap*at the red ball lol

Yup, this one.
Then…

Yup another one lol. As we crossed the road guess who we unexpectedly but expectedly found?? lol
You must Scroll down to see ——–

Yes it is ???? David-san lol
(for some unknown reason Japanese translates to ‘?’)
So Eugene went back on his bus and as for me? I stayed awhile inside Plaza Singapura waiting for 6:30PM to come so that hopefully I can see the X’mas decorations on the road light up. And true enough, by 6:30 the lights went on haha.

More Red Balls

Then it was off to the Cathay to checkout if they had a Christmas Tree to take a picture.

But it turned out they didn’t have one just the following decorations around the mall.

Then it was off to Tampines to meet up with my parents for dinner!

Day 3 – The Last Day at Genting. And what better way to end the trip then to try out something many people might have seen on T.V. Yup, its SkyVenture – basically you can experience what is it like Sky Diving but instead you get to do it indoors

My Cousin & my Aunt where the first to try then later on my other Aunt & I tried it. Its a good thing I don’t have any pictures of me taken after the ‘Sky Diving’ lol. But I do have the video, however I don’t think its such a good idea to show….too bad! haha
Time for a quick meal before heading on our bus to head back to Singapore. The dish this time round is mixed rice.

Waiting for his food…..

This time round we got a different bus but a newer compared to the one we came on.

A last look of Genting’s foggyness before we leave and start our approx. 7 hours journey back across to Singapore.

lol at the sign.

Grandmother relaxing on the bus
Last but not the least, during one of the rest stops along the way back my cousin bought this extraordinary pao that is around the size of his palm or maybe even a little bit bigger. The price of it? About SGD 2.00. haha

Day 2 and by 4PM we were done with the outdoor theme park and therefore proceeded in trying out the rest of the indoor rides since out ticket we bought earlier in the day were for both indoor & outdoor.

We sat on this ride which basically just went around the mall. The ride just took around 6 minutes and then found ourselves back to the start haha.
Then came Dinner time and decided to try out this steam boat restaurant we saw from one of the earlier rides we took – the catepillar ride. The price was RM 19.90 per person.

When we finished our dinner my younger cousin was quite tired already (from all the walking today) and wanted to head back to the room. But wait! there was one more ride we needed to try out before we called it a day.

Yes, the Venice Boat Ride lol.

With a little help from the fake guy rowing the boat and some ‘Italian’ like music that was playing in the boat, it sort of felt like the real one in Las Vegas lol.

When the ride was all done, it was finally time to head back to our hotel and call it a day :)

Some early Christmas Decorations

This one was my favorite lol

Day 2 of Genting and Today we woke up early at 7:30AM and then had our breakfast. The weather was foggy but it got much foggier as the day went by.

No it wasn’t about to rain or anything it was just foggy haha.

So we started from the nearest attraction from the entrance and worked our way to the further ones. Tabby the …. Cat? (like in Farmville lol) & Allie the Elephant (or should it have been Ellie) 0O.

So that meant the Merry-Go-Round was the first attraction.

In the Chocolate Wonderland.

Some facts that you could store at the back of your head for some unknown reason…

Quickly running out Chocolate Wonderland lol

So what sort of shots can we come up with?? Hmmm….

After three shots this one is the best lol. Credits to my part-time model lol

One of the rides that I obviously didn’t take
lol

That colourful pair of buildings was where we stayed – First World Hotel.

We didnt get to try the Golf Karts as the queue was really….really….long…

View from the mini-Ferris Wheel.

The Corkscrew Ride that also had a rather long queue.

Poor people can’t even get a chance to scream when coming down coz by the time they try, they go up again..lol

Entering my cousin’s favourite must-go places.

One of the rides that wasn’t open yet in the morning but was later opened in the afternoon. Long queue too lol.

A view from one of the top spots on DinosuarLand lol. Clouds Clouds Clouds.

Dinosuars while riding the boat.

More foggy-ness….

‘Green Ting Ting’ that my cousin won from a carnival shooting game.

Lunch-time and I ate the Chicken Bolognese Spaghetti.

Mmmmmmm… lol

His name was either ‘Dino the Clown’ or ‘Duno the Clown’. He should write his name clearer

The Lollipop Girl & ….Machine Gun (though some might differ) Boy lol

The Antique Car Ride with Lance ramming the back of our car (that so happens the gasoline tank is positioned) - yea, no danger there for me as I am the one seating behind ;p

The 20 minutes Caterpillar ride which goes through the First World Plaza.

High tea – Done
Check-in – Done
Now time to check out the First World Plaza where many shops and indoor attractions are available.

At first I thought that the rower was a real guy haha.

They seem to also have a lot of machines here and who are the ones playing them? Well, mostly Singaporeans of course
lol

My Cousin having a picture with the machine and his card album haha.

The Caterpillar train that goes through the mall that actually starts from the outdoor theme park.

Christmas Decorations.

Then it was time to eat -> to the KopitAM!

Chicken Noodle was what I ate haha.

My cousin trying out the darts lol.

Unfortunately you needed to get all three darts in the same ring to get a prize
lol
And that was it was the first night in Genting.

The day started with an early wake up @ 5:50AM for me.
@5:50AM – A shower & wash up
@6:30AM – And then it was off to pick-up my Grandma, Aunt, and Cousin.
@6:50AM – Then it was off to Transtar’s bus depo somewhere near Lavender MRT Station.
@7:00AM – Reached Transtar at Lavender.
@7:45AM – Time to Board the Bus and head off to Genting!
@Somewhere along the way after Malaysia’s checkpoint (I think…) we were served Lunch

Transtar’s Airline-like lunch: Fried Fish w/. Nonya Sauce.
Ah Mah munching lol

How relaxing were our seats?

We were rather lucky as the 4 of us got the bottom deck (which was like our private lounge lol) of the bus while my other aunt and cousin got the upstairs as the bottom only had 5 seats.
Vernon: *While my mum pokes her rice with a fork I shall play my game*

Finally Reached!!!

We finally reached Genting after about 7 hours of road trip and as you would have noticed, it was foggy lol. Well I guess it’s because Genting is high on top of the mountains haha.
The Bus

First World Hotel

First World Hotel is the place we stayed. Too bad you have to be 21 years old to enter ‘STARWORLD’ lol.

We had to wait about an hour until we could get checked-in as there were lots of people also checking in, so we decided to have a quick munch nearby ->
Eggs lol

Okay, so they are just eggs but you got to admit the eggs are bigger than those available in Singapore right? lol
The Rooms
Well then the excitement continued after our ‘high-tea’ lol. We at last got our rooms – tada!

The Bathroom

Our Plasma T.V
Okay, so it’s not a Plasma 42” T.V or anything less but it really got me laughing lol Something rather rare you find these days haha
