Kim Gary Restaurant @ Tampines1 Mall
Kim Gary Restaurant @ Tampines1 Mall (Basement 1) Tried this restaurant about a week ago at the newly opened mall. It is the first restaurant at B1 on the right and is quite small. Overall, the food was ‘okay-ish’ but what I liked was the drink lol and the soup :p I guess the only bad thing about this meal was that the waiting time was around 40 minutes nd I guess it is due to the fact that it is a new restaurant and the staffs are not experienced enough as well as the heavy crowd that comes to the mall
Cream Soup (obviously the left) & Borch Soup (obviously the right one)
Peppermint Aloevera Drink - $4.20 ($2 with a Main)
Honey Lemon Drink – $2.90 ($1 with a Main)

Tea in Hong Kong Style – $1.60
Stone Grilled Rice in Korean Style – $13.50
Steak Hot Plate Set Meal – $17.50
Reading the Feedback that the previous table left was rather interesting…lol

Illuma and The Chinese Restaurant On The Top Floor
Illuma Chinese Restaurant – On the Top Floor
Went down to the Illuma Shopping Mall at Bugis a week ago, the mall is just opposite the Bugis MRT station as it is within walking distance. The building should not be a problem to spot as the building should ‘illuminate’ as the outside of the building is covered with LED lights :p . Most of the shops are still not open because the mall have not undergone it’s ‘grand openning’. However, there is a cinema on the top floor as well as a decent size arcade with its rather unique arcade games. Most of the games are those Catching Machine Games, Stacker Games, and Video Games. One that I particulary found interesting was this Ice-Cream Catcher Game (next time i have to remember to take a picture lol) that had Magnum and Ben & Jerry Ice-creams in it.
Most of the restaurants are already open ranging from restaurants that are similar to New York New York, and also similar to the Fish & Co.
Here was what we ate at the Chinese Restaurant since the restaurant that was similar to the New York New York restaurant had a waiting time of an hour for the food.
Sweet & Sour Soup
Soup was nice
Chicken Chop Fried Rice
Luncheon Meat Fried Rice - The one I had (Yes, I know it is quite a boring choice… :p )

Smoked Salmon Salad – S$11.20
The Final Verdict

Food Quality: 4/5
Great!
Value for $$$$*: 5/5
* From 11AM – 2PM
Menu Variety: 4/5
Great!
Ambience: 4/5
Great!
Service Quality: 3/5
Polite but not that attentive, i.e re-filling of water, getting a staff to take your order.
They seem to need more staffs especially during the office lunch hours.
